Most superfoods sold in the United States travel the same way: harvested, sold to a broker, shipped in a container for four to six weeks, then repackaged in a warehouse somewhere. By the time they reach a shelf, they have changed hands five or six times.
We do it differently, and it costs us more. Here is the whole journey of an Incaliving product.
1. Grown on our own organic farms
Our maca grows high in the Andes. Our cacao, curcumin and sacha inchi grow in the Amazon foothills. We know every farm and every farmer, and 80 percent of our team in Peru are women.
2. Harvested at its peak
Each crop is picked when it is ready, not when a shipping schedule says so.
3. Packaged at the source
Every pouch and bottle is filled right there in Peru. Nothing is opened, blended or repackaged later.
4. Flown, not shipped
Our products fly to the United States. Days instead of weeks. Less heat, less humidity, less time for nutrients to fade.
That is what we mean when we say from farm to your table. Read our story.
