Curcumin is the golden compound in turmeric root, and it is one of the most studied plant compounds in the world. It also has a well-known weakness: on its own, very little of it is absorbed.
The black pepper trick
Black pepper contains piperine. Studies have found that piperine can increase the amount of curcumin your body absorbs many times over. That is why every Incaliving curcumin product includes a small amount of black pepper. You do not have to remember to add it.
Powder or capsules?
The powder is for cooking: golden milk, curries, soups, scrambled eggs. The capsules are for a daily routine with no taste and no mess.
Where ours comes from
Our turmeric grows in Pampa Camona in the Chanchamayo province of Peru, where the soil and climate suit it perfectly. It is harvested, processed and packaged at the source, then flown to the United States. See our curcumin.
